With the Cross Body Lead it is important as a leader to use the right hand to guide the follower forward. In theory, the follower should make a regular basic step if you don’t. However, in practise, any follower will walk forward and turn towards you even if the leader doesn’t indicate this. Getting the follower to not do this is very counter-intuitive and not recommended.
